Thanks to , it is now possible to run Linux applications on Windows. This is made possible by a Windows version of X Server designed for computers running Microsoft Windows XP, 2003, or Vista. In order for this to work, Xming X Server needs to connect to a remote computer where a Linux distribution is installed, or a virtual machine present on the same computer can also be used. The program is easy to install on Windows and can be run seamlessly from the Start Menu like any other application. The connection established between Xming X Server and the remote computer is secure when SSH is utilized. Additionally, the package includes a specialized PuTTY SSH client and a portable alternative to PuTTY. By using this software, users can easily access and use Linux applications on their Windows operating system without any hassle.
